Empowering children to flourish and reach their full potential
At Beech Green Primary School, we take great pride in our modern, spacious, and well-equipped facilities, designed to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all our pupils. Our school buildings are situated on a single level, allowing easy access for everyone. We boast an impressive range of facilities, including a state-of-the-art studio for music and drama activities, an expansive library, our family cafe, forest school area, daily mile track, therapeutic mentoring room, and quiet reflection garden. Our purpose-built Foundation Stage Unit and Reception classes offer secure and well-equipped outside learning environments, perfectly tailored for young learners.
We are committed to the principles of inclusion and equality of opportunity, working closely with other Gloucester schools through the Quedgeley Learning Community and the Gloucester Schools' Partnership. Our teaching staff are approachable, considerate, and experienced, striving to create the best learning culture for everyone. We recognize that learning is lifelong, and our teachers stay up-to-date with the latest education journals, books, and publications. We coach each other, work in teacher research teams, and contribute to the development of pedagogy across the school. We are excited to be a research school, always seeking new ways to improve and innovate.
Mixed Emotions
Beech Green's reputation is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, the school may not be the best, but they do prioritize the safety and well-being of their students. The students themselves seem to take pride in their school and are concerned about the teachers' welfare. The teaching assistants are reportedly exceptionally nice, while the cooks could do better in terms of providing decent food.
Lack of Stellar Performance
The school's overall performance and academic standards are mediocrity at best. Despite this, the students and staff are making a concerted effort to create a nurturing and supportive environment. This sense of community is palpable, making Beech Green feel like more than just a school.
