Learning, respecting and growing together as a whole school family
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to explore our website and learn more about our wonderful school. Founded in 1850, Churcham Primary School has a rich history and is proud to serve the local community. As a small, happy, and friendly school, we cater to children from Reception to Year 6, with Class 1 comprising Reception, Year 1, and Year 2, and Class 2 comprising Year 3, 4, 5, and 6. Our website offers a glimpse into the excellent relationships between our staff, pupils, and parents, and the strong sense of community that permeates every aspect of our school life.
As a school, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Our motto, "a family of learners, " embodies our belief that learning is a lifelong process, and that everyone, regardless of age or ability, can benefit from the shared experiences and diverse perspectives within our school community. We work closely with our partner school, Ashleworth Church of England Primary, and are also linked to four other small primary schools, as well as being members of the West Gloucestershire Schools Partnership.
Our curriculum is designed to be engaging, challenging, and relevant to the needs of our pupils. We place a strong emphasis on developing the whole child, encompassing academic achievement, social skills, emotional intelligence, and physical education. Our Forest School provision offers a unique opportunity for children to explore, learn, and develop in a natural environment, fostering a sense of wonder, discovery, and responsibility.
Our Values
At Churcham Primary School, we believe in the importance of building strong relationships, promoting respect, empathy, and inclusivity. We strive to foster a sense of community, recognising that individuality and diversity are essential components of a healthy and happy school environment.
