Helping your child to learn, explore and develop
Welcome to St. Vincent's Nursery
St. Vincent's Nursery is an independent day nursery in Northwood, Pinner, Middlesex, situated within the grounds of Haydon School. We provide a high quality child care service within the community and ensure that the welfare of each child is of utmost importance. Our nursery caters for children aged 3 months to 5 years and is freshly equipped with a range of facilities to support early learning opportunities in a caring and safe environment.
Our History
St. Vincent's Nursery was established in the early nineties and was originally located in a disused ward of the historic St. Vincent's Orthopaedic Hospital in Eastcote. Over the years, the nursery grew into a successful and well-respected establishment. Inspections by the local authority have always been positive and since Ofsted took control of children's nurseries, we have consistently received very favourable reports.
Unfortunately, in reaction to changes in the health service, St. Vincent's Orthopaedic Hospital had to close and the land that St. Vincent's Nursery stood on was returned to green belt, making it necessary for the nursery to relocate. At the beginning of 2006, St. Vincent's Nursery moved to its current location in Haydon School, where it is freshly equipped throughout, and our excellent reputation continues.
Our Environments
We provide a range of well-equipped environments to support children's development at St. Vincent's Nursery. These include:
- Buttercups: A room for children aged 3-18 months
- Daisies & Sunflowers: Two rooms for children aged 18 months - 2 years
- Busy Bee's & Butterflies: Two rooms for children aged 2 - 5 years
Our sensory room offers a space for children to explore and develop their senses and skills, while our large, secure garden area provides opportunities for outside play with a pirate ship, vegetable plot and digging area, as well as a large patio area covered for all-weather free-flow play.
