A place to grow. A place where children can thrive.
Located in the lovely rural village of Walmer Bridge, our nursery is situated in the original village primary school, which dates back to the late 1800's. We are proud to be a privately owned, family-run business that has been providing high-quality childcare for many years.
Our Story
Walmer Bridge Day Nursery is a 59-place nursery that is registered with Ofsted. We are open 52 weeks a year, closing only on bank holidays. Our spacious rooms are well-equipped with resources that cater to each age group, and our children have the opportunity to make the most of our fantastic outdoor play area.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to suit busy families, including term-time places for those who want to put their children in during school term-time, as well as flexible hours for children who receive two or three-year-old funding.
Our Approach
Our experienced and dedicated staff help children to become successful learners, confident individuals, and caring contributors to society. We believe in the importance of play-based learning, and our planned activities are designed to encourage children to learn through exploration and discovery. Our staff work closely with parents and carers to ensure that each child's individual needs are met, and we welcome feedback and participation from our families.
Our Facilities
Our nursery is designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment for our children. We have three main rooms:
Baby Unit (0-24 months): A dedicated space for our youngest children, equipped with age-appropriate play equipment and toys.
Nursery (2-3 years): A bright and airy room with a range of play areas and activities designed to promote learning through play.
Pre-School (3-4 years): A larger room that offers a variety of play and learning experiences, including role-play, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities.
Our Team
Our team of experienced and qualified nursery nurses are dedicated and highly trained to look after the needs of all our little individuals. Every child is assigned a Key Worker who will develop a close bond with your child, share information, observe and track their development.
