Your trusted roofing solutions for a lifetime of protection

At The Anchor, we pride ourselves on providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere, steeped in traditional charm. Located in the picturesque town of Woodbridge, Suffolk, our 18th century quayside pub has been a staple of the local community for over 10 years.

Our Story

Our story begins with Vernon Blackmore, who has been at the helm of The Anchor for over a decade. With his team of dedicated staff, we have worked tirelessly to create a unique and memorable experience for our customers. From our extensive menu to our carefully curated selection of real ales and drinks, every detail is designed to make you feel at home.

Our Menu

Our menu is a love letter to British cuisine, with a twist. We draw inspiration from our Asian heritage and global travels to create dishes that are both familiar and exciting. From our famous curries to our beer-battered haddock and chips, every dish is made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. And don't forget to leave room for dessert - our sweet treats are almost too good to be true!

Our Ambiance

Step inside our beautifully restored pub, and you'll be transported to a bygone era. Our rustic interior is filled with character, from the wonky floor tiles to the roaring fireplaces. On warmer days, our sunny seating area is the perfect spot to soak up the atmosphere. And don't worry, our courtyard garden is a haven for those seeking a peaceful retreat.

Our Drinks

Our drinks menu is a reflection of our passion for quality and variety. From our carefully selected cask ales to our premium wines and craft beers, there's something for every taste. And don't forget to try our unique, locally-brewed ales, courtesy of our partnership with Greene King brewery.
