Who We Are
At Camden Community Nurseries, we are proud to be a not-for-profit organisation that provides high-quality childcare and education to children aged from three months to five years. Our three nurseries, located in West Hampstead, are designed to provide a safe, warm, and caring environment that fosters exploration, learning, and development.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children. We believe that every child is unique and competent, and we strive to create a sense of belonging and inclusion for all children. We work closely with parents and carers to ensure that each child's individual needs are met and that they reach their full potential.
Our Services
Our nurseries offer a range of services and activities that cater to the needs of children from birth to five years. Our experienced and qualified staff provide a curriculum that is tailored to each child's needs, interests, and abilities. Our curriculum is built around the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage, which emphasizes the importance of play-based learning, social interaction, and exploration.
Early Years Education
Our nurseries offer a range of activities and resources that support early years education. Our staff are trained to recognize and respond to each child's individual needs, interests, and abilities. We use a range of teaching methods, including storytelling, songs, and activities that promote language and literacy skills.
Meals and Nutrition
We understand the importance of nutrition and its impact on a child's development. Our nurseries provide freshly prepared meals and snacks that are nutritious and balanced. Our menus are carefully planned to ensure that children receive a range of nutrients and vitamins. We also have facilities for breastfeeding mothers to express and store breast milk.
Our Nurseries
Our three nurseries are located in West Hampstead and offer a range of facilities and services. Acol Nursery is our largest and most recent addition, with space for up to 50 children ranging from 3 months to 5 years. Sington Nursery is located in a large town-house and offers a flexible range of rooms to support both free imaginative play and more structured activities. Montpelier Nursery is situated in Kentish Town and provides a calm and peaceful environment that promotes learning and development.
Special Educational Needs
We believe that all children, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, have the right to a broad and well-balanced education. Our nurseries are committed to the inclusion of all children and work closely with parents and carers to provide individualized support. We recognize that every child is unique and competent, and we strive to create a sense of belonging and inclusion for all children.
