Sam Morris Nursery

At the Sam Morris Nursery, we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, learning, and family-oriented environment for children from 6 months to 5 years of age. Our non-profit community-based nursery has been providing high-quality childcare since 1996. Our experienced team of 10 permanent members of staff, with qualifications from level 3 to level 6 and 1 Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), is dedicated to providing a stimulating and safe environment for your child to learn and thrive.

Our Philosophy

Our overriding childcare philosophy is to provide a structured programme of activities designed to allow your child to learn through fun, imagination, and thoughtful guidance. We believe that every child is unique and deserves a tailored approach to their learning and development. Our staff are trained to bring out the best in your children and to help them develop as individuals.

Our Team

Our team is led by the Manager, Sandra Warne, who has over 20 years' experience of working with children and holds her EYTS. The Deputy Manager, Melanie Warne, has over 15 years' experience. All staff are qualified with a relevant childcare qualification and are subject to security vetting before appointment.

Nursery Day

Children are offered a wide range of play and learning activities, designed to promote their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Our nursery day is structured to ensure that every child has a stimulating and engaging experience.

Facilities

We have a purpose-built centre that provides indoor and outdoor activities within a peaceful setting. Our nursery rooms and facilities are dedicated and safe, providing a perfect environment for children to develop and participate in a wide range of activities.

Learning & Development

We work towards the Early Years Foundation Stage, and our key workers collaborate closely with parents to ensure children can flourish. We provide termly progress reports where parents have the opportunity to discuss progress should they wish to. However, you are able to discuss any aspect of your child's development as frequently as you wish.

Where We Are

We are located off Isledon Road, on Parkside Crescent, London N7 7JG. We are just a couple of minutes from Finsbury Park (N4) tube station. Bus numbers 4, 29, 153, 254, and 259 stop beside Parkside Crescent. The nursery is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am till 6:00 pm. We welcome visits from parents and carers.
