Bear Care

At Bear Care Day Nurseries, we pride ourselves on being a family-run business with over 30 years of experience in providing high-quality childcare. Established in 1984, we have grown and developed to cater to the ever-changing needs of the childcare field. Our four nurseries, located in Nottinghamshire at Arnold, Carlton, and Stapleford, are easily accessible and conveniently open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

We cater to children aged 3 months to 11 years, and our nurseries are organized into sections that accommodate the individual needs of the children. We have areas caring for babies, young toddlers, older toddlers, pre-schoolers, and our out-of-school club. Our fully qualified and experienced staff are always willing to listen and give time and advice, working together with parents and carers to make the transition for parents returning to work and children starting nursery as smooth as possible.

Our Philosophy

We believe that every child is unique and special, and we strive to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that allows them to grow and develop at their own pace. We aim to promote an inspired, creative, and caring environment that encourages children to explore, experiment, and learn through play. Our approach is centered around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which emphasizes the importance of play in supporting children's learning and development.

Our Staff

Our staff are our biggest asset, and we take great pride in our team. All of our staff members, including auxiliary staff, have undergone a clear CRB check before being employed. Our Room Leaders are all NVQ3 Qualified or above, and our Nursery Nurses have or are working towards being fully qualified. We provide in-house training for staff up to NVQ3, and our Managers have an NVQ4 Childcare and Development Qualification or an Early Years Degree.

Our Nurseries

Our nurseries are designed to cater to the individual needs of the children, with areas dedicated to babies, young toddlers, older toddlers, pre-schoolers, and our out-of-school club. Our daily routine allows for play and learning activities to be structured to children's individual developmental needs. Every child is allocated a key person who works closely with them, monitoring their development and providing care, ensuring they feel happy, confident, and secure.

Security

The safety of your child is of paramount importance to us. All of our entrances have a double-entry system and visitors are required to sign in and out. All of our doors and windows are fitted with security devices and the outdoor play areas are securely fenced. We have a password system which operates when parents are unable to collect their child and choose to send an alternative member of the family or friend.

Funding

If your child is aged over 3 years, he/she will be entitled to Early Education Funding (EFF), regardless of how much you earn. The funding can be accessed at Bear Care in a variety of ways to ensure that you maximize your free entitlement. Each child can claim up to 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year. This can be taken over 2-5 days. We also accept childcare vouchers in payment of your fees.

Childcare Vouchers

We have happy to accept childcare vouchers in payment of your fees. These are issued by employers and enable you to pay your childcare before tax. Some useful information can be found at www.moneysavingexpert.com and www.direct.gov.uk.
