Our Story
Welcome to Ann Bernadt Nursery School, a warm and inclusive nursery school located in the heart of Southwark. Our nursery school is part of the River Peck Federation, a group of schools that share a commitment to providing high-quality education and care to children from diverse backgrounds. Our Curriculum
At Ann Bernadt Nursery School, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines, which focus on seven areas of learning and development. These areas are:
- Prime Areas: Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, and Physical Development
- Specific Areas: Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design
Our curriculum is designed to be fun, engaging, and challenging, with activities and resources that cater to the unique needs and interests of each child. We believe that learning should be an enjoyable and collaborative process, and we strive to provide opportunities for children to explore, create, and express themselves in a variety of ways.
Our Services

This nursery has received an outstanding rating of 5 stars from its happy parents. Outstanding Facilities The outside area is particularly noteworthy, being the best locally and providing ample space for children to play and explore. The staff are warm and welcoming, creating a nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.
Care and Communication
The staff are highly accommodating, showing a keen interest in each child's needs and progress. They maintain excellent communication with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development and milestones. This level of care and attention has made a significant difference to the children, with lots of praise for the SEN Team, which has been incredibly helpful.
