Our aim at Chigwell & Hainault Synagogue nursery is to offer a secure, caring and stimulating environment in a warm Jewish atmosphere where children can play, enjoy artistic expression and learn to develop their social, emotional and intellectual and physical skills as well as listening and language skills. This is achieved within the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and through the Prime and Specific areas of learning. We educate our children to be happy, caring, responsible, respectful, understanding and knowledgeable members of society, without discrimination. Our children are taught to respect all members of society, to care for one another, their belongings and themselves. They will learn the basics of Judaism, which will provide them with essential knowledge for life in the context of Jewish beliefs and values. We operate an 'open door' policy and any parent or member of staff may approach us in complete confidence.
The community is very friendly and welcoming.
Some members feel the synagogue could do more to appeal to younger generations.
