Here at the Ambassador Guest House, we pride ourselves on providing the best quality bed and breakfast accommodation and hospitality to our guests. Our hosts, Graham and Lesley, have been operating since September 2017 and have earned a 5* Rating on Trip Advisor and a 4**** Silver rating from Visit England, the National Tourist Board for England.
Our Services
We offer a variety of en-suite rooms with free WiFi, providing a perfect base for your holiday or business trip. Each of our 6 en-suite bedrooms are individually designed and created to provide our guests with a comfortable stay. We have one single room, and depending on availability, we also offer single occupancy on our double rooms for solo travellers or those visiting Torbay on business.
All rooms are supplied with a well-stocked hospitality tray providing tea/coffee/hot chocolate making facilities and are refreshed daily. A flat screen Freeview TV, quality towels, toiletries, and hairdryers are provided in every room. An iron and ironing board is available on request. We have one ground floor bedroom that can be used for families of up to 4 or by guests with minor disabilities as there are only two steps to this room.
For breakfast, we offer a selection of fruit juices, cereal, yoghurt, and fresh fruit from the breakfast bar, followed by a full home-cooked, freshly made to order English breakfast, pancakes, omelettes, continental, or vegetarian breakfast, and is served between 8 am and 9:30 am, which is included in the price of your stay. Our breakfasts are family-friendly, and we find our pancakes are particularly popular with both old and young guests.
Our Facilities
The Ambassador Guest House has a cosy and comfortable bar in our newly constructed conservatory with a large flat screen television providing background entertainment for your listening pleasure or even a karaoke sing-along. If there is a sporting event, the bar can be opened early to suit your requirements. The addition of this bar lets you make the very most of your holiday in a relaxed atmosphere - come rain or shine.
We also offer free parking in our tarmac car park for 6 cars, which is one parking space per room. We have installed 4 motorbike anchors for our 2-wheeler friends. Level access from the parking lot into the property and guest lounge. There are 2 steps to reach the family room and dining room. The remainder of our rooms are accessed via a staircase with a handrail to the first floor. There are 10 steps to a large landing and bench, then a further 5 stairs to reach Rooms 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & 6. Unfortunately, we do not have a lift.
Our Location
The Ambassador Guest House is located in Paignton, a coastal town in the centre of stunning Torbay and part of the beautiful English Riviera. Paignton boasts blue flag sandy beaches, a traditional Victorian Pier with amusements and games, a bustling harbour that provides boat trips, fishing, and water sports, a cinema complex, railway and bus stations, shops, restaurants, and more, all within just a few minutes' level walk away, making you centrally located for all that Paignton has to offer.
