The Redcliffe Hotel: A Rich History
The Redcliffe Hotel, located in Paignton, South Devon, was originally designed by Robert Smith, a retired Colonel and accomplished architect, engineer, and artist. Smith extensively redesigned an existing building, adding three wings that housed a glass-domed plunge bath, a picture gallery, and 23 bedrooms and dressing rooms. The property was later converted into a hotel in 1903 and has since been part of The Tudor Hotels Collection.
