Ciao Experience the taste of Italy

The Bucks Arms is a traditional 17th century pub and former coaching inn located next to the Blickling Estate in Norfolk. Our beautiful pub is nestled in the heart of the countryside, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere to all our guests. Our team of chefs run the kitchen, serving up delicious home-cooked food that's beautifully presented and packed with flavour. We're proud to be a Cask Marque recognised pub and have a great selection of real ales including at least 2 seasonal guest beers. Wines are served by the glass or the bottle from an exciting and changing wine list.

Our Services

We offer a range of services to make your visit with us as enjoyable as possible. Our accommodation features four double en-suite bedrooms, all decorated using National Trust heritage colours. Each room is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our restaurant serves a range of delicious dishes, from classic pub fare to more elaborate meals. We're happy to cater for special diets, and our chefs can modify many menu items to suit your needs.

We're a dog-friendly pub and welcome well-behaved dogs on leads in the garden, bar and one area of the restaurant. Dogs are also welcome in some of our guest bedrooms. We're a great spot for families, with a large garden and plenty of outdoor seating. We also host regular events, including Thai Nights, and have a range of festive menus during the holiday season.

About Our Location

Our location in Blickling is simply stunning. The Blickling Estate, which surrounds our pub, offers plenty of opportunities for walking and outdoor activities. The estate features over 4,600 acres of woodland, parkland, and farmland, as well as the beautiful Jacobean house, Blickling Hall. We're also close to the market town of Aylsham, with its quaint character streets and large 14th-century church. The Bure Valley Railway, a narrow-gauge railway, is nearby, and the North Norfolk Coast is only a short drive away.

Our History

The Bucks Arms has a rich history, dating back to the 17th century. After a period of closure, we reopened in 2013 under new ownership by Colchester Inns. Since then, we've worked hard to restore the pub to its former glory, while still maintaining its traditional charm. We're proud to be part of the Colchester Inns family, which features several other pubs in the local area. Each of our pubs has its own unique character, but they all share a commitment to excellent food, drink, and service.

Our Philosophy

At The Bucks Arms, we're committed to providing exceptional service and a warm welcome to all our guests. We're passionate about using locally sourced ingredients in our kitchen, and we're proud to support local suppliers and farmers. We believe in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where everyone feels at home. Whether you're stopping by for a quick drink or staying with us for a longer period, we want to make sure you feel like part of the family.
