Socialising, Food, and Drink - the perfect blend at The Beehive!

Welcome to The Beehive, a traditional pub located in Norwich, Norfolk. Since its conversion from a corner shop in 1922, The Beehive has become a hub of the local community, offering a warm welcome and a great selection of real ales. Over the years, the pub has earned numerous awards, including being an award-winning pub.

Our Services

At The Beehive, we pride ourselves on offering a range of services to cater to the needs of our customers. Our pub is open from Monday to Wednesday from 3 pm to 10 pm, Thursday from 3 pm to 11 pm, Friday and Saturday from 12 pm to 11 pm, and Sunday from 12 pm to 10 pm. We also have a function room available for hire, suitable for various events and gatherings.

One of our most popular events is our Annual Beer Festival, which has been running since 2007. This celebration of real ales and ciders takes place in the pub garden and is staffed by knowledgeable and friendly real ale enthusiasts. The festival features a fantastic BBQ, run by our RAOB Edith Cavell Lodge volunteers, with all proceeds going to our chosen charity. Our charity fundraising efforts have resulted in raising over 1,800 for Nelson's Journey in 2018, over 3,000 for Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals Charity in 2021/22, and over 2,000 for The Hamlet Charity in 2023.

We also run a popular Quiz Night every fortnight on a Wednesday, strictly by booking only. This has been a staple event at The Beehive for nearly 20 years, featuring three rounds of general knowledge questions. The quiz is free to enter, with a maximum of five people per team, and the winning team receives a free drink for each member.

In addition to our regular events, we host Summer Charity Barbecues every year, raising thousands of pounds for local deserving charities. Our Summer BBQs take place between May and September, with all proceeds going to our chosen charity.

Charity BBQs

Every year, we are proud to host Summer Charity Barbecues to raise funds for local charities. Our BBQs run from May to September, between 4 pm and 8 pm. Please come along and support by having a burger or two!

Our first BBQ of the year will be on Saturday, 4th May, from 4 pm to 8 pm. Our other BBQ dates are as follows: June 1st, July 5th (4-10 pm), July 6th (2-10 pm), July 7th (2-10 pm, during our Beer Festival), August 3rd, and September 7th.

We have raised in excess of 2,000 for The Hamlet Charity in 2023 and would like to thank our customers for their continued support.
