Established in 1979 and originally based in Essex, the company has grown and evolved to become a trusted partner for many leading manufacturers and suppliers.
Company History
Our journey began in 1979, when we started as a small manufacturing facility in Essex. Over the years, we experienced significant growth and expansion, which necessitated a move to a modern freehold premises in Basildon in 1997. This new facility enabled us to increase our capacity, allowing us to expand our client base and service a wider range of industries.
In 2014, our Managing Director, Allen Knife, undertook a management buyout, ensuring the continued growth and success of the company. This marked a new era for GKM, as we redefined our strategic business objectives, rebranded, and streamlined our in-house processes.
To further support our growth and development, we invested over 2 million in the company since 2015. This significant reinvestment has enabled us to continually improve our facilities, equipment, and staff, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of precision engineering.

Our capabilities are diverse and extensive, covering a wide range of industries and sectors. From the aerospace and defense sectors to marine and healthcare, we have the expertise and facilities to manufacture and supply high-quality components and assemblies.
Our manufacturing portfolio includes precision engineering, fabrication, and assembly services. We use a range of materials, including composites, aluminum, steel, invar, castings, titanium, and other exotics, to produce components that meet the exacting standards of our customers.
