At C McGough & Sons, we understand that arranging a funeral can be a daunting task, especially during a time of grief. Our experienced and compassionate team is dedicated to providing a personal and professional service to guide you through this difficult time.
Our Story
For over 90 years, C McGough & Sons have been providing funeral services to families in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and beyond. Our family-run business was founded in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, by Clement McGough, the son of William Peter McGough and Anne Elizabeth Bould. Our story began when Clement, a skilled joiner, was approached by the local priest to make a coffin for a family who could not afford a funeral. Clement went beyond the initial request and organized the entire funeral, taking all the stress and worry away from the family. This act of kindness marked the beginning of C McGough & Sons as a funeral director.
