C. Edwards & Son Funeral Directors is a family-owned business with a long-standing history in the Stoke-on-Trent community. Since our establishment in 1918, we have been providing personal and professional funeral services to families in their time of need. Our mission is to offer the highest level of care and support to help create a tribute to the life of your loved one.

Our History

C. Edwards & Son Funeral Directors was founded in 1918 by Mr Charles Edwards, a joiner by trade who set up his own building business in Jamage Road, Talke Pits. His business soon expanded to include the making of coffins and the laying out of the deceased at home. In 1945, the Building Company and Funeral Directors moved to new premises in High Street, Talke Pits, and by this time, Charles had passed away and his son Frank had joined the company. Today, the business is in its fourth generation of the Edwards family and continues to provide a professional, personal, and caring 24-hour service.

Our monumental services include the design and installation of headstones, plaques, and memorials.
