Give your child the best start in life

At Winton House Day Nursery, we are committed to providing a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment where children can thrive and learn. We believe that every child is unique and special, and we strive to create a sense of community and belonging for all our children and families. Our experienced and qualified staff work tirelessly to ensure that every child feels valued, respected, and supported, as they grow and develop.

Our Approach to Childcare

Our approach to childcare is based on the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which recognises the importance of play in a child's development. We believe that children learn and grow best when they are given opportunities to explore, discover, and initiate their own learning through play. Our carefully planned and structured environment is designed to support children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development, while also promoting independence, confidence, and self-esteem.

Nursery Groups

At Winton House Day Nursery, we have three nursery groups designed to cater to the specific needs and interests of children of different ages and abilities. Our groups are:

Babies (0-2 years)

Our baby unit is designed to provide a safe, homely, and nurturing environment for our youngest children. Our staff are carefully selected and trained to cater to the unique needs of babies, providing a range of stimulating and engaging activities to promote their physical, social, and emotional development.

Toddlers (2-3 years)

Our toddler group is designed to provide a stimulating and challenging environment for our young children. We offer a range of activities to promote physical development, social skills, and cognitive development, including outdoor play, story time, and craft activities.

Pre-School (3-5 years)

Our pre-school group is designed to provide excellent preparation for starting school. We use the EYFS framework to plan and deliver a range of activities that promote literacy, numeracy, understanding of the world, and expressive arts. Our children participate in small and large group activities, as well as individual free play, to develop their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

Meet Our Staff

Our team of experienced and qualified staff are dedicated to providing excellent care and education for our children. Our nursery manager, Sarah, oversees the daily operation of the nursery and ensures that all our staff are supported and equipped to provide the highest level of care and education.

Our nursery is located in a beautiful, homely environment close to Hatherley Park. Our premises are designed to provide ample space for children to play, learn, and develop in a safe and stimulating environment.
