El Torero is a Spanish restaurant located in the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne. We are proud to bring a taste of Spain to the North East of England. Our menu is designed to cater for all tastes, with a large selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. We offer a wide variety of tapas as well as other specialty dishes such as paella, oxtail and suckling pig, making El Torero a venue for any occasion.
About Us
Our restaurant is owned and operated by Toni Almiron, a Spaniard from Granada, Andalucia. Toni has brought his passion for Spanish cuisine to the UK and has created a menu that showcases the best of Spanish gastronomy. Our team of Spanish chefs, led by Toni, prepares every dish with care and attention to detail, using only the finest ingredients sourced from Spain. We take pride in our extensive wine list, featuring great wines from all over Spain. Our bar area is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink while you wait for your table.
Menus
Our extensive menu caters for all tastes, with a large selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. We have a wide variety of tapas as well as other specialty dishes such as paella, oxtail and suckling pig. The great thing about tapas is that you can order as few or as many as you fancy. For 4 or more people, we also offer our popular tapas selection menus that are ideal for large parties and those who are too indecisive to choose from our large range of dishes.
Special Offers
We have a special offer available Monday to Friday from 12pm to 5pm - any 3 tapas for just 16.50. This offer is available for groups of up to 8 people and is shown on our main menu. We also offer a tapas selection menu for 4 or more people, which is ideal for large parties and takes the hassle out of ordering.
Bookings
We take bookings for tables of 2 or more. To reserve a table, please call us on 0191 233 1122 or email us at info@eltorero.co.uk. On Fridays and Saturdays, we recommend arriving about 20 minutes before you wish to dine, as tables become available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Our Restaurant
Our restaurant has a large bar area where you can enjoy a drink and soak up the buzzing atmosphere whilst you wait for your table. We also have a comprehensive wine list, featuring great wines from all over Spain. Our kitchen is open until 9:30pm Sundays to Thursdays and until 10:30pm Fridays and Saturdays.
