Empowering Young Minds, One Step at a Time
At Tamba Day Nursery, we're passionate about creating a safe and stimulating learning environment that fosters growth and development in children from 3 months to 5 years old. With over 20 years of experience, our committed and experienced team is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our young charges.
Our Services
Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, providing an enriching environment that allows every child to thrive and blossom. Our qualified and experienced staff understand the individual needs of each child and provide an environment that is tailored to meet those needs.
Our Branches
We have four branches located in Ilford, Olympic Park, Beckton, and Chadwell Heath. Each branch has its own unique character and charm, but all share the same commitment to providing high-quality childcare and early years education.
Ilford
Our Ilford branch has been operating since August 2003 and is located in a large converted Victorian house with a large garden. The nursery is designed to provide a home-from-home environment, with spacious classrooms that incorporate each area of the EYFS.
Olympic Park
Our Olympic Park branch is our latest addition, situated minutes from Stratford Station and the Olympic Park. The building is brand new and has been designed from the ground up to create an enabling and stimulating environment for children between 3 months and 5 years old.
Chadwell Heath
Our Chadwell Heath branch is situated in a purpose-built building offering childcare facilities for children aged 3 months to 8 years. The nursery has a capacity for 93 children across all ages and is designed to enhance children's independence and accessibility for children with disabilities.
Our Team
We're proud of our talented and dedicated team, who are passionate about providing the best possible start to a child's journey in life. Our team leaders include Emily Turpin, our Nursery & Area Manager, and Sumbal Hanif, our Deputy Manager. We also have a dedicated team at each branch, including educators, nursery practitioners, and support staff.
Our Extra-Curricular Activities
We believe that play is an essential part of childhood, and we offer a range of extra-curricular activities to enhance our children's learning and development. These include yoga sessions, cooking lessons, language lessons, and physical education through sports and games.
Critical Issues
A significant concern is the lack of a positive and welcoming environment at Tamba Nursery, as experienced by Asha Jeya. The manager was found to be extremely disrespectful, and the staff were not friendly or passionate about their work. This has led to a negative experience for Asha and may deter others from considering the nursery.
Positive Reviews
On the other hand, several parents have shared positive experiences with Tamba Nursery. Sauda Ahmed, Harshita Shukla, Miss Stewart, and Roopa Pilli have all praised the nursery for its supportive and friendly staff, particularly Miss Aqsa and Miss Fatima. The parents have appreciated the attentive care and individualized attention given to their children, leading to significant improvements in their development and confidence.
Likes and Dislikes
Parents have commended the nursery's ability to recognize and adapt to their children's unique needs, such as Sauda's son's shyness and Harshita's son's struggles with potty training. The regular updates and communication from the nursery through the app have also been appreciated. Similarly, the nursery's commitment to providing a secure and welcoming environment has been praised.
Expertise and Care
The parents have consistently highlighted the expertise and care provided by the staff, particularly Miss Aqsa, Miss Fatima, and other key workers. The staff's patience, understanding, and willingness to work with parents to address specific issues have been praised.
Development and Progress
Parents have reported significant improvements in their children's development, including Sauda's son's increased confidence and Harshita's son's academic progress. The nursery's focus on providing a nurturing environment and individualized attention has contributed to these positive outcomes.
