We are more than medicine - and here for you.
Welcome to Moksliukas Nurseries, a part of the Lithuanian Christian Church and the Kensington Temple London City Church network. Our mission is to provide education that not only meets but exceeds Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards, while maintaining consistency with the teaching and values of the Christian home and church. We strive to give children education based on biblical principles and a God-centered view of the world.
Our vision is to nurture each child's individual worth, enabling them to achieve success in all areas of learning at their own ability level. In September 2013, we implemented changes in our curriculum and started utilizing the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) Curriculum at Moksliukas Nursery. We are proud to report that the parents of our "graduates" have expressed great satisfaction with the ACE programme, citing significant improvements in their children's phonics, numeracy, Bible stories, and character development, such as politeness, kindness, and compassion.
Our Curriculum and Services
At Moksliukas Nursery, we offer a safe, warm, secure, and happy environment where children can grow and learn through play, have fun, and develop academically, socially, and spiritually. Our curriculum is designed to cater to the individual needs of each child, allowing them to grow and develop their unique abilities at their own pace.
The ACE curriculum forms the backbone of our educational approach at Moksliukas Nursery, as it reflects our Christian beliefs and values. Our children engage in simple prayers and hymns, participate in planned activities each day, and celebrate Christmas and Easter. We also provide activities based on the Early Learning Goals and follow the National Standards for under 5-year-olds and the Foundation stage Curriculum.
Our nursery provides 15 hours of Free Early Education for children between the ages of 3 and 4 years old, as well as those eligible from 2 years old. We maintain an effective key worker system to monitor, record, and plan for the children's continued development while ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. Our nursery celebrates diversity, fostering meaningful, lifelong relationships among our students, staff, and families.
Our Rooms and Facilities
Moksliukas Nursery is designed with various rooms and areas tailored to different age groups and their developmental needs. Our rooms include:
- Purple and green room: For children aged 6 months to 2 years old.
- Yellow room: For children aged 2 to 3 years old.
- Red & Blue Rooms: For children aged 3 years old and over.
We also offer a playground, cosy play/sleeping area, and a wide range of play and learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors. These facilities encourage core academic, physical fitness, and social skills, fostering all aspects of each child's development.
Working in Partnership with Parents
We believe in creating a supportive environment by recognising each other's feelings and needs, developing relationships and encouraging honesty and respect. Working closely with parents and carers enables us to create a smooth transition for the children between their home environment and the nursery, ensuring their individual needs are met and encouraging their overall growth.
