At Lees Munday, we're designers first and foremost, of architecture, interiors, furniture, and landscape. We take pride in the relationships we develop with our clients over time, allowing us to create truly special homes and buildings that meet their unique desires. Our designs are always contemporary yet draw inspiration from the past. We relish the challenge of seamlessly marrying the new with the old, contemporary with traditional, creating links between the two.

We draw inspiration from various architectural styles, including Scandinavian modernism, the English Arts and Crafts, American east coast white clapboard, and Cotswold stone. Our goal is to create architecture that continues the evolution of what is loved from the past while still remaining relevant for the present. We always seek to connect the inside with the outside, fusing key living spaces with the landscape beyond, and celebrating views and changing weather.

We love to use natural materials in their simplest form - stone, timber, and occasionally rusty steel - enjoying their tactile and timeless visual qualities. We balance these with the precise, sleek elements of modern technology - large areas of virtually frameless glazing to allow wonderful light, sophisticated fittings to achieve high levels of comfort and functionality.

Our team of RIBA chartered architects, led by Directors David Lees and Yvonne Munday, has extensive experience in delivering high-profile projects across the UK.

Our Services

As RIBA chartered architects, we offer a full range of architectural services outlined in the RIBA plan of work. We can deliver all project design, procurement, and construction stages, as well as tailoring individual work stages to suit our clients' specific requirements. We collaborate with other specialists required for each project, including building surveyors, structural engineers, quantity surveyors for cost advice, landscape designers, and energy consultants.

Our team has a wealth of experience in delivering complex projects across various building types, from high-end residential homes to commercial office buildings and hospitals. We've worked on award-winning multi-storey apartments, City of London office buildings, the UK Combined Forces Headquarters, and military equestrian buildings, among others.
