Who We Are
Denton Primary School is a small rural primary school situated in an attractive Northamptonshire village, approximately six miles from Northampton. We pride ourselves on providing a caring and nurturing environment that allows our children to thrive and reach their full potential. With a student population of around 120 pupils, aged between 3 and 11, we maintain a friendly and personalized approach to education.
Our Philosophy
Our guiding philosophy is to provide a broad and balanced, progressive curriculum that allows each child to develop their individual talents and interests. We strive to create a learning environment that is happy, emotionally secure, and enjoyable for our children. We encourage resilience, empathy, self-confidence, and independence, and we promote aspirational values that foster a deeper understanding of the world beyond our local communities.
Our Services
At Denton Primary School, we offer a range of services to support the educational and personal development of our students. These include:
- Nursery provision for children from the term after their third birthday
- Before- and after-school care from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
- A wide variety of extra-curricular activities, including off-site visits and residential trips in Key Stage 2

Our aims and intent are to:
- Provide a learning environment where children are happy, emotionally secure, and enjoy coming to school
- Teach a broad and balanced, progressive curriculum that allows each child to fully develop their individual talents
- Develop resilience, empathy, self-confidence, and independence
- Promote aspirational values and a wider understanding of the world beyond our local communities
- Teach the skills to prepare children for the next stage in their education and support lifelong learning
