Kings Road Nursery School is a vibrant and welcoming setting where children are at the heart of everything we do. Our School

Our school is situated on Melfort Drive, just off the Kings Road in the Tullycarnet area of Belfast. We have 52 full-time places for children in their pre-school year. The school is run and funded by the Education Authority, and we have a teaching principal and a team of fully qualified teachers and support staff. Our school is designed to provide a warm and welcoming environment, with two classrooms that operate on an "open plan" basis, allowing children to move between rooms and explore different opportunities throughout the nursery. We also have a fantastic outdoor play area, where children can enjoy outdoor learning opportunities every day.

Admissions

At Kings Road Nursery School, we understand that choosing the right nursery school for your child is a significant decision. Our admissions process is designed to be smooth and supportive, with online applications available through the Education Authority website. We welcome children from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, and our experienced teachers and support staff work closely with parents and families to ensure that every child feels valued and supported.

Our Staff

Our dedicated team of staff members are passionate about providing a high-quality education and care for each child. Our team includes a teaching principal, SENCO, and a team of fully qualified teachers, nursery assistants, and support staff. We also have a designated teacher for child protection and a team of SEN classroom assistants who provide additional support to children with special educational needs.

Our school is governed by a Board of Governors, which includes representatives from the Education Authority, parents, and our school. The Board of Governors plays an important role in shaping the school's vision and strategy, ensuring that our school is a place where every child can thrive.
