Our History

Preston Components was founded in 1941 as Preston Lift Components, expanding on the back of major Admiralty contracts and high-profile projects. Over the years, we have continued to grow and adapt, reflecting the changing needs of our customers and the industry as a whole.

Meet Our Key People

Robert Campbell, our Managing Director, has been with the company for over 33 years, with 15 of those as owner. Yvonne McCrudden is our Office Manager, responsible for Accounts, Health & Safety, and Quality. Alan Jones is our workshop foreman, with 35 years of experience as an engineer and machine operator. Our lead sales engineer, Lawrence Webb, has been with the company for 13 years and is a qualified draftsman.
