Work together, learn together, succeed together

At Eldene Nursery and Primary School, we believe that every child is unique and deserves the best possible education and care. Our school is built on the principles of "Work together, learn together, succeed together", which guides our approach to providing a nurturing and engaging environment for all our students.

Our Values and Vision

Our values are centred around creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential. We strive to provide a curriculum that is both challenging and fun, with an emphasis on developing the whole child - academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

Our School Buildings and Facilities

Our school is housed in three buildings, situated on extensive grounds in the heart of the Eldene community. The Acorn Building offers a dedicated space for our Nursery, Little Owls, as well as facilities for families and community use. The Infant Block is home to our junior classes, with a main reception area, classrooms, and a peaceful courtyard. The Junior Block houses our senior classes, with a computer suite, main library, and kitchens. Our grounds are extensive, featuring four large playgrounds, trim trails, football pitches, and a small wooded area for forest schools-type activities.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is carefully designed to provide a broad and balanced education, incorporating a range of subjects including English, Maths, Science, Art, Design and Technology, Geography, History, Languages (French), Music, Physical Education, and Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE). We also provide additional support for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Our Staff

Our team of dedicated and experienced staff, together with our governors and volunteers, work tirelessly to ensure that each child receives the support and guidance they need to thrive. We believe that every child is unique and deserves a tailored approach to their learning.

Inclusive Education

At Eldene Nursery and Primary School, we are committed to inclusive education. We strive to create a sense of belonging and community, where every child feels valued, respected, and supported. We recognise that every child learns differently and provide additional support and adjustments to ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Our Community

Our community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that parents, carers, and the local community play a vital role in a child's education and well-being. We welcome and encourage parental involvement, volunteer opportunities, and community support.
