Located in a quiet residential area, Little Gems Day Nursery is a leading childcare provider in Lewisham, serving children from birth to 5 years old. Our nursery is situated in a peaceful location with easy access to Lewisham, New Cross, and Brockley Railway stations, making it an ideal setting for families in the surrounding areas. We are also conveniently located near Goldsmiths University and Lewisham College.

Our History and Philosophy

Established in 1996, Little Gems Day Nursery has a long history of providing high-quality childcare services to families in Lewisham. Our nursery was originally an 18-place setting catering for children aged 2-5 years. As demand for our services grew, we expanded to a 50-place setting in 2000, and subsequently to a 93-place setting in 2003. Today, we continue to pride ourselves on offering a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of every child in our care.

Our Environment

Our purpose-built nursery features six spacious and well-equipped rooms, with dedicated areas for baby room, toddlers, and pre-school children. We also have a separate building for the baby room, a main building for the toddlers and pre-school, and large outdoor play areas that provide extensive opportunities for outdoor learning. Our nursery is designed to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and thrive.

Our staff team is made up of fully qualified and experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing high-quality childcare. We believe in building strong relationships with our children, parents, and carers, and we strive to create a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment that supports the individual needs of every child. Our staff are assessed based on their qualifications, experience, and commitment to the children in their care, and we ensure that all staff undergo regular training to maintain their skills and knowledge.

Our Services

At Little Gems Day Nursery, we offer a range of services that cater to the needs of our young children. We provide half-day and full-day child care for children aged 3 months to 5 years, including places available for the free entitlement for 3 & 4 years old for 15 hours per week. We also offer breakfast and after-school clubs, holiday day schemes, and a freshly prepared menu that uses seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Additionally, we provide pickup and drop-off services to and from school.
