A place to grow, learn and play

St Andrew's Community Nursery is a small, non-profit making community-based nursery situated in the heart of Brockley. We have been providing quality, affordable childcare for children aged between two and five years since 1983. Our aim is to support each child in their development to their full potential at their own pace. We offer 15 and 30 funded hours over 38 weeks and are open 51 weeks a year from 8.00 to 18.00.

As an outdoor nursery, we adopt a free-flow approach, allowing children to move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces. Our activities are varied and based on children's interests, promoting a love for learning and exploration. We have two large outdoor gardens that offer children the opportunity to engage with nature, learn about the world around them and develop their physical skills.

At St Andrew's Community Nursery, we pride ourselves on our long-standing, committed staff team. Our longest-serving staff member has been with us for 40 years, and our most recent recruit has been with us since 2023. This continuity provides a stable and secure environment for children and parents, enabling them to feel comfortable and enjoy their time with us.

We are part of St Andrew's Centre, a vibrant community organization that offers drop-in clubs for the elderly, youth groups, lunch clubs, parent and toddler clubs, holiday clubs and an after-school club. Our close relationship with the centre allows us to collaborate on various projects and events, providing a rich and diverse environment for children to learn and grow.
