WELCOME TO THE GLASSHOUSE, AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION, A LUXURY HOTEL IN EDINBURGH CITY CENTRE. When the 170-year-old Lady Glenorchy Church was converted into The Glasshouse Hotel in 2003, Scotland exchanged one iconic piece of history for another. With 77 bedrooms, this is a standout among luxury boutique hotels and is considered one of the finest places to stay in Edinburgh.
Our historic luxury hotel in Edinburgh features cosy-contemporary interiors, warm Scottish service and consistently spectacular views of the city centre, Calton Hill or the hotel's rooftop garden. In 2018, the hotel's reception was fully refurbished, creating a dramatic juxtaposition between the historic and gothic church facade, and the striking modern and luxurious space behind.

Poor Accommodation Experience
The GlassHouse Hotel in Edinburgh received poor reviews from most of its guests. The majority of the guests complained about the hotel's service, amenities, and overall quality of stay.
Unacceptable Service
According to M. Tv, the hotel's service was terrible, with some staff members being unhelpful and mean. Alexis Alexander also mentioned that the front desk staff were uncooperative, and Chris Barwick experienced a delay in resolving an issue with his room's air conditioner.
Uncomfortable Rooms
The rooms at GlassHouse Hotel were also criticized by most guests. M. Tv found the room to be extremely hot due to a malfunctioning air conditioner, while Alexis Alexander said that the room layout was weird and unusable. Chris Barwick experienced issues with his room's air conditioner as well.
Unpleasant Noise
Some guests reported unpleasant noise disturbances during their stay. Alexis Alexander mentioned that the plumbing noise was loud and could be heard throughout the room. M. Tv also reported hearing conversations from the hallway throughout the night.
Mixed Reviews
However, not all guests had a bad experience at the GlassHouse Hotel. Karan Jain praised the hotel's staff, amenities, and location. Linda also had a mostly positive experience, except for some navigation issues with the hotel's layout.
