At Upsadaisy Nursery, we are a team of dedicated and passionate educators who are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to grow and develop. As working mothers ourselves, we understand the importance of knowing that our children are safe and well cared for, and that this is essential to our work routine. That's why we set out to create a childcare service that is not only child-focused, but also meets the needs of parents, providing quality, flexibility, education, and stimulating activities.

Our mission is to provide a high-quality childcare education that promotes creativity, confidence, and independence. We believe that every child is unique, and that's why we tailor our individualised care to meet the specific needs and abilities of each child. Our experienced and qualified staff are dedicated to creating a warm, happy, and fun environment that encourages children to learn and grow.

What Makes Us Different

At Upsadaisy Nursery, we have excellent staff-to-child ratios, which ensures that each child receives the dedicated time and support they need to thrive. Our ratios are as follows: 1 staff member for every 3 babies, 1 staff member for every 4 children aged 2-3 years, and 1 staff member for every 7 children aged 3-5 years. This allows us to provide a more personalised approach to childcare, where every child receives the attention and support they need to reach their full potential.

We also believe in providing a stimulating and welcoming atmosphere that encourages children to explore, learn, and play. Our classrooms are designed to be engaging and interactive, with plenty of natural light, colourful decorations, and stimulating activities to keep children engaged and entertained. Our trained professionals are also up-to-date with the latest methods in teaching and early years education, ensuring that our children receive the best possible education and care.

Our Philosophy

At Upsadaisy Nursery, we believe that children learn best through play, interaction, and teaching. We provide a warm, happy, and fun environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and develop at their own pace. We also believe that every child is important and deserves to be valued and respected. That's why we provide a secure, friendly, and caring environment where children feel safe and supported.

Our Staff

Our team consists of experienced and qualified educators, including three directors: Director of Practice Development, Safeguarding Lead, Shelley Whitworth; Director of Service Development and Special Education Needs Coordinator, Clare Quince; and Director of Business and Finance, Karen Green. We also have a team of qualified staff and room leaders, who are working towards or have already achieved a childcare or education qualification. All our staff are subject to rigorous checks as required by Ofsted, to ensure that we provide the highest level of care and education for our children.
