Established in 2017, we offer high-quality, flexible, and affordable early years childcare and wrap-around care to the local community. Our aim is to provide a 'home from home' environment for all children within a friendly, family-oriented setting.
Our Aims and Commitments
At The Nest Nursery, we are committed to providing the highest quality of care by continually reflecting, training, and striving for excellence, while keeping the children's interests at the heart of what we do. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to develop their own unique strengths and abilities, and our experienced and passionate practitioners are dedicated to supporting each child's individual development.
In the Moment Planning
We believe in putting each child's interests at the heart of their learning and environment. Our qualified practitioners will provide the time, resources, support, and space to help the children develop their own learning and play in a holistic way. We regularly observe, consult, plan, and participate in the children's learning, creating a safe and inclusive environment.
Our Rooms
We have three dedicated rooms catering to children aged 0-5, each designed to meet the unique needs and interests of each age group:
- Hatchlings (0-2): A room that supports individual progression and development, from rolling and crawling to sitting, standing, and beyond.
- Nestlings (2-3): A visually stimulating room to capture and maintain the attention of the children and help them embark upon learning through a fun, interactive approach.
- Fledglings (3-5): Our pre-schoolers are given opportunities to access the seven areas of the curriculum through well-designed and structured areas.
Extra Curricular Opportunities
We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including:
- Forest School: A unique outdoor learning experience that encourages children to explore, discover, and learn in a natural environment.
- Pyjama Drama sessions for our 2-5-year-olds, designed to improve social, emotional, and cognitive skills through fun and engaging activities.
- After School Club for school-aged children, providing a safe and stimulating environment for children to relax, play, and learn after school.

Overall Experience
Reviews from two users, Jie Tang and James Fotheringham, provide insights into their experiences with the after-school club. While there are contradictions between the two reviews, both highlight certain aspects of the club that warrant attention.
Rudeness and Unpleasantness
One glaring issue that arises from Jie Tang's review is the rudeness of the lady who answers the door. This suggests that the club may not have the most welcoming or pleasant atmosphere for all visitors.
Toys and Facilities
James Fotheringham's review, on the other hand, highlights the abundance of toys available at the club. His 2-year-old child reportedly loves the club, and the toys are a significant factor in this. Additionally, the club provides outdoor activities, including trips to the park opposite during the summer months.
Practical Considerations
The reviews also touch on practical aspects of attending the club. James Fotheringham mentions the convenient car park situated in front of the club, making drop-off and pick-up easier. This suggests that the club is mindful of the needs of its users.
