Our History

The Duke of Gordon Hotel has a fascinating history that dates back to the 18th century, when it was originally built as a stopover for passengers travelling by stagecoach along the old A9 to Inverness and the North of Scotland. Over the years, our hotel has been lovingly restored and updated to maintain its original charm and character, while also providing modern amenities and exceptional service. Today, we are proud to be a preferred base for the Macpherson Clan when they visit the Highlands for their international gatherings.
