Established in 1965, Richard Finch and Sons has grown to become one of the leading independent family funeral homes in Northampton. Founded by Richard F.J. Finch and Nora I. Finch, the business initially started as a private hire company before transitioning into the funeral industry in 1965. The company moved to its current premises in Military Road in 1970, which has since been expanded to accommodate a dedicated remembrance room and book, as well as a large private car park. Our founders have since passed away, but their legacy lives on through their sons, Richard and Adam Finch, who continue to run the business with the same commitment and dedication to providing exceptional funeral services.

Richard Finch, the eldest son, was born in Northampton in 1958 and joined the family business in 1974. With over 48 years of experience in the funeral industry, he has become an expert in embalming and overseeing all aspects of the funeral process. Richard takes great pride in his work and is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to every family he works with.

Adam Finch, the youngest son, was born in Wootton in 1966 and joined the family business in 1982. He has over 40 years of experience in the funeral industry and works closely with his father in all aspects of the business. Adam believes that it is essential to maintain a personal connection with families from start to finish.

In 2015, another generation of the Finch family joined the business. Adam Finch, the son of Adam Finch, is currently involved in all aspects of the funeral home. His desire is to carry on his grandfather's legacy and provide exceptional support and comfort to bereaved families during their most difficult time.
