The Child Funeral Charity (CFC) was born out of the shared experiences of those working in the funeral industry. We witnessed firsthand the immense emotional and financial burdens faced by families arranging a funeral for a child. Determined to bridge this gap, we stepped in to offer a vital support system.
Our dedicated team of professionals comes from diverse backgrounds, united by a common purpose - to alleviate the financial and emotional strain associated with child funerals. We assist families in England and Wales with:
Financial Support
- Assistance with funeral expenses not covered by government funding, such as flowers, orders of service, and memorialisation items.
- Guidance on navigating the Children's Funeral Fund (CFF) application process.
Practical Support
- Compassionate guidance through the grieving process.
- Access to relevant resources and information.
- Assistance with liaising with funeral directors and other service providers.

The CFC Board comprises experienced professionals with extensive knowledge in the funeral industry, child welfare, and finance. Led by Managing Director Anne Barber, our team is committed to providing efficient and compassionate support to bereaved families during their darkest hours.
