Introducing The Terrace Hotel
Established for over 70 years, The Terrace Hotel is a 14-bedroom, family-run guest house situated in a stunning Georgian 'A' listed building, designed by William Playfair in 1820. Ideally located near Edinburgh city centre, the hotel is a mere 10-minute walk from Princes Street and only 15 minutes from Edinburgh Castle. Royal Terrace, where the hotel is located, forms the longest continuous building of Georgian architecture in Edinburgh, adjoining Regent and Calton Terraces. The hotel's proximity to numerous tourist attractions such as Holyrood Palace, Dynamic Earth, and Edinburgh Castle, in addition to its close vicinity to the St James centre, John Lewis department store, Meadowbank sports centre, Ocean Terminal shopping centre, Waverley Station, and the Playhouse Theatre make it an ideal choice for tourists and business travellers alike. All bookings are now made via Booking.com.
Comfortable and Well-Equipped Accommodations
The Terrace Hotel offers 14 ensuite rooms, each equipped with colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities. High ceilings with cornices, original fireplaces, and a beautiful cupola adorn the rooms, providing an authentic Georgian-period experience. Our hard-working staff are available 24 hours a day to offer advice and assistance, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. We now offer a FREE picnic breakfast, with up to 10 items per person delivered to your room early every morning.
