Our History

Our company was founded by George Thompson in 1958, and over the years, we have evolved to become the trusted building contractors we are today. In the early 1960s, Roy Thompson joined the company, and together, they formed G. Thompson & Co. In 1983, George retired, and Roy carried on the business alone until his son, Matthew, joined him as an apprentice in 1984. In 1992, Matthew became a partner, and in 2005, the company was renamed Bennetts Building Contractors Ltd. Today, Matthew runs the company, continuing the legacy of his father and grandfather.
