The Dolls House Nursery

The Dolls House Nursery and Preschool, established in 2003, is a family-run venture dedicated to providing a stimulating learning experience for your child. We pride ourselves on being a homely, secure environment, set up to care for babies and 1-year-olds in our Little House for Babies, and pre-school children in our suite of carefully designed rooms. Our highly experienced staff team is ever vigilant, ensuring that your child receives a well-balanced learning programme, preparing them for the step up to primary school.

We have a strong focus on quality childcare, provided by people who truly care. Many of our staff members have gained degrees in Early Childhood Studies, and we also have a qualified Early Years Teacher. This team works closely with you and your child to ensure confidence and mutual respect, allowing your child to grow and giving you peace of mind. Our nursery is like an extended family to us, whom we trust completely with our children's wellbeing.

Our Services

At The Dolls House Nursery and Preschool, we offer a wide range of activities to stimulate your child's learning and development. Our 3 and 4-year-olds enjoy day trips to Charnwood Forest, where they can experience the changing seasons, nature studies, den building, stream paddling, and many different outdoor activities. We also offer French lessons, Dance and yoga classes, and a special visit to Manor Farm at East Leake for our 2-year-olds to learn about animals and birds.

For our 4-year-old leavers, we celebrate their graduation with a Graduation Ball and a trip to 'Twinlakes' Park at Melton Mowbray. We believe in giving our children plenty of opportunities to explore, learn, and have fun.

Our Food

We are passionate about nutritious food and offer an amazing mix of diverse tastes drawing on cultural, vegetarian, and vegan influences. We source high-quality local organic produce where possible and continue to share a range of fresh fruit and veg, hand-picked for freshness. Our children learn a lot about the food they eat and enjoy taking part in a range of cooking activities.

Our dedicated baby menu of nutritious pureed vegetables and fruit is provided fresh from our kitchen, with a large and varied selection of 'finger-food' for our little ones. We understand that a nutritious and healthy diet is essential for the best start to your child's learning, and as such, we have designed an extensive menu to keep your child happy and healthy.
