Ambience and Atmosphere
- Pleasant surroundings and well-spaced tables.
- Quiet at times, other times full, but with a great atmosphere.
- Good access to the football and racing on the television screens.
Food and Drink
- Good value basic pub food.
- A good selection of drinks.
- Food is reasonably priced with lots of choice.
- Major sports events shown on the big screen.
- Food was nice, staff were friendly and polite.
- Called in on the off chance for food and a drink, food was okay, nothing to shout about but it came quickly enough.
- Had a three-course meal, but portions were not big enough. Food itself was lovely, well-prepared and presented, especially the melt in the middle pudding.
Staff and Service
- Staff as always were very welcoming.
- Catered to our food request, which wasn't on the menu and was delicious.
- Staff are friendly and know regulars by name.
- Waitress asked to show phone to prove scanned the track and trace app before being seated.
- Table service only, with red/green cards for service or in-app ordering.
- Felt very safe when visiting; hand sanitiser available on entry and actively requesting track and trace and face coverings when moving around the pub.
COVID-19 Regulations
- COVID-19 regulations are all adhered to whilst the staff make you feel safe and welcome.
- Free spooky movie morning for kids on a big screen with sweets and popcorn, prompt service to tables for food and drinks, friendly and fantastic.
- Very friendly staff, family-friendly, management could not do enough for us.
Negative Comments
- Drinks were tasteless and disgusting.
- Carling was disgusting and the dark fruits cider was disgusting.
- Music was far too loud for our liking when we wanted to chill and have a conversation on a Friday night.
- Very rude owner, accused me of racism, happy to leave, didn't even try and follow up the invalid accusation.
