Clydeforth Engineers and Contractors Ltd is a well-established Scottish company that has been involved in the design, manufacture, and installation of pipework, vessels/tanks, steelwork, and heat exchangers since 1991. With over 25 years of experience, we have built a reputation for providing high-quality services to our clients in the petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, and distillery industries.

Our expertise lies in the provision of specialist pipework, steelwork, ducting, tanks, and vessels for various industries. We work with a wide range of piping materials, including mild steel, stainless, galvanised, duplex, Incolloy, Hastelloy, polypropylene, PTFE lined, PE/PVC, and copper. We operate a controlled system, maintaining traceability of products from their initial source right through to dispatch.

We boast a workshop capacity of 13,000 square feet with 15 and 65 tonne overhead cranes, and waterfront access to the River Clyde. Our modern technology, strong management, and determined, highly skilled workforce form the foundations that have seen Clydeforth propel itself to the forefront of Scottish engineering. We are accredited with CE marking to BS EN 1090-2:2008 + A1:2011 up to EXC 2 and regularly work with Lloyds Register and Royal Sun Alliance as third-party verifiers.

Clydeforth Engineers has extensive experience and expertise in a wide range of products and services, including:

• Supply, fabrication, and installation of stainless, mild steel, plastic, and PTFE lined pipework
• Supply, fabrication, and installation of new and modified existing industrial gas pipework, including de-commissioning and re-commissioning of completed systems
• Design, supply, fabrication, installation, and test tanks
• Supply, fabrication, and installation of replacement shell plates/bottom plates for fuel storage tanks to BS2654
• Supply, fabrication, and installation of instrument pipework
• Supply, fabrication, and installation of steelwork structures/pipe bridges
• Supply of coded welders, pipefitters, platers, and mechanical fitters
• Supply personnel to assist in de-commissioning of chemical/hazardous plant systems
• Main Contractor role on multi-discipline contracts
• Supply, fabrication, and installation up to 2000 meter dia 304 stainless/mild steel ducting
• Liaising/planning major shutdown works for clients working to extremely tight programmes

Design and Quality

Our design team provides full design and stress analysis of new or existing pipework, as well as structural design for pipe bridges and structural items. We also provide vessel design to PD5500 with third-party verification and CAD drawings. Our quality management system is guided by our commitment to providing a quality service that consistently meets customer requirements.

Health and Safety

Due to the complex nature of projects being carried out by Clydeforth Engineers and Contractors, a structured approach to hazard identification and risk management is essential. To minimize risk, we have implemented BS OHSAS 18001 and Safe Contractor accreditations. We also employ external health and safety consultants, Scottish Engineering, for independent advice on legislation and legal requirements, as well as being members of the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH).
