Here at The Leather Bottle, we are a Restaurant & Free House Pub based in the historic, picturesque village of Blackmore, Essex. We serve delicious, traditional, British food with a modern twist and cater for all dietary requirements. Our food is locally sourced and served daily from 12pm, whether it's lunch or dinner, there's always something to tickle your taste buds. Tables within our light and airy restaurant are available to pre-book for dining.
We take pride in our friendly and helpful management, front of house and kitchen teams, who are guaranteed to give a warm welcome and top quality service. Our five-star reviews on Facebook and Trip Advisor are testament to this, and we also hold a five-star hygiene certificate. In fact, Trip Advisor awarded us the Travellers Choice top ten percent of Restaurants award for the second year running this year.
Our Services
At The Leather Bottle, we offer a range of services to ensure that every visit is a memorable one. Our Pub itself offers a comfortable bar area with an award-winning selection of real ales, ciders and lagers, fine wines from around the world, and we are always improving the selection, focusing on our customers' desires. As a family-friendly restaurant, we also welcome our four-legged friends into the bar area and garden. Our walled garden has plenty of tables available on a first come, first serve basis for food and drink.
We also boast a beautiful Garden Room which is available for private hire, perfect for any occasion. The latest addition to our attractive garden area is a heated marquee housing undercover tables, which are also available to pre-book for dining. Gift Vouchers are available to buy, which can be used against both food and drink and valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. We will shortly be introducing a rewards scheme for our regular customers, and our Gift Vouchers will also be migrating to a credit card type.
Our Events
We regularly host a range of events and offers at The Leather Bottle, from St Patricks Day Weekend celebrations to Pie & Mash week, Thai Night, Charity Quiz nights, and live music performances. We also have a beautiful Garden Room which is available for private hire, perfect for any occasion. Our walled garden has plenty of tables available on a first come, first serve basis for food and drink.
Career Opportunities
We're always on the lookout for talented individuals to join our team. We are currently looking for an experienced Commis Chef and Chef de Partie to join our friendly village restaurant. You will be working under our Head Chef & Sous Chef and will be trained how to run sections within our busy restaurant. We expect the right candidate to have passion and willingness to learn new skills, working with our fresh produce.
