La Petite Academy is a friendly, unique nursery which has been established since October 1995. Our nursery is situated in a large one-story building, located in a quiet residential suburb of Littleover. We are a warm and welcoming environment where children can thrive and develop to their full potential.
Our Mission

Our teaching vision is that all children will thrive in our dedicated, nurturing and stimulating home from home environment, where the children are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that children learn best through play and therefore we follow a child-initiated approach, which ensures children enter school ready to learn. Our goal is to build on the child's early experiences gained at home and provide a high-quality education and childcare service that is tailored to the individual needs of each child.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to cater to the needs of our children and their families. Our services include:
- Tiddlers: For children aged 0-24 months
- Toddlers: For children aged 2-3 years
- Preschool: For children aged 3-4 years
- Before and After School Club: For children aged up to 11 years
- Holiday Club: For children aged up to 11 years
- Learning and Teaching: We use a child-initiated approach to learning, which allows children to explore, discover and learn at their own pace.
- Our Sensory Room: A dedicated space designed to stimulate children's senses and encourage their sense of curiosity and exploration.
- Outdoor Play: We believe that outdoor play is essential for children's physical and emotional development, and we have a large outdoor play area where children can run, play and explore.
- Special Days: We regularly organize special days and activities to enhance the children's learning experience and create lasting memories.
Nutrition and Meal Times
We understand the importance of nutrition and meal times for children. We provide a menu that is carefully planned to meet the nutritional needs of our children. Our menu is designed to be fun, engaging and educational, and we encourage children to try new foods and flavors.
Government Flexible Free Entitlement
We are proud to offer the Government's Flexible Free Entitlement scheme, which allows eligible parents to claim up to 15 hours of free childcare per week for children aged 2-4 years. We offer flexible childcare options to cater to the needs of our working parents, including before and after school care, holiday schemes and term-time care.
Nursery Fees
