Welcome to Ardenstur, a 150-acre estate located on the stunning shores of Loch Melfort, near Oban on the West Coast of Scotland. Our tranquil retreat offers a unique opportunity to explore the breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife of the region, while staying in our comfortable, stone-built self-catering holiday cottages. Whether you're looking for a peaceful getaway, an action-packed adventure, or a family-friendly holiday, Ardenstur is the perfect destination.

Each of our cottages has an open fire or wood burning stove, providing a cosy atmosphere for those chilly winter nights after a day of exploring the great outdoors. We welcome well-behaved pets, so you can bring the whole family along. With cottages sleeping parties of 2 to 10, we can accommodate groups of all sizes.

Our Cottages

• Ardenstur House: This is the largest property on the estate, sleeping ten. It has an elevated position with breathtaking views across the loch to the hills beyond.
• Ardenstur Croft: This cottage sleeps six and has great views over the loch.
• Top Ardenstur: Sleeping six, Top Ardenstur has a ground floor double bedroom and shower room, and is located close to the loch.
• Shore Cottage: Located just yards from the loch's high tide, Shore Cottage sleeps six and has three bedrooms, a bathroom, a shower room, a laundry room, kitchen, dining room, and lounge with open fire.
