Welcome to St Stephen's C of E Primary School, where we strive to provide a loving and caring environment for our children to learn and grow. At the heart of our school is our Christian ethos, which is rooted in the principles of the Church of England. Our aim is to develop the whole child, academically and socially, and to help them reach their full potential.

Our Vision and Values

Our vision is "Our Faith can move Mountains, " Matthew 17:20, which is underpinned by our four key values of Love, Hope, Faith, and Trust. We believe that these values are essential in shaping our children's character and helping them develop into confident and compassionate individuals.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to be engaging and challenging, with a focus on developing the whole child. We offer a range of subjects, including Religious Education, Maths, English, Science, and Physical Education, among others. We also place a strong emphasis on extra-curricular activities, including sports clubs, music, and art.

Our Christian Ethos

As a Church school, we believe that faith is an essential part of our children's education. We aim to provide a Christian education that promotes a deep understanding of the Christian faith and encourages our children to develop their own faith and spirituality.

Our Teaching and Learning

We believe that teaching and learning should be engaging and interactive. Our teachers use a range of teaching methods, including e-learning and outdoor learning, to ensure that our children are motivated and inspired to learn.

Our Community

We are proud of our school community, which is built on strong relationships between students, parents, and staff. We believe that effective communication is key to our success, and we strive to maintain open and transparent relationships with our families.

Our Facilities

Our school has a range of facilities, including a state-of-the-art science block, a well-stocked library, and a Forest School area. We also have a range of sports facilities, including a football pitch, a netball court, and a multi-use games area.

Our Governors

Our governors are a vital part of our school community, providing guidance and support to our school. They have a deep understanding of our school and its values, and play an important role in shaping our school's vision and direction.

Our History

Our school has a rich history, dating back to 1845. We are proud of our heritage and the many achievements of our pupils and staff over the years.

Our Mission

At St Stephen's C of E Primary School, our mission is to develop our children to their full potential, in a happy and caring Christian environment. We aim to provide a high-quality education that prepares our pupils for life beyond school, and to help them become confident, compassionate, and responsible individuals.
