Located in the heart of the M3/M4 corridor, J&L Precision has been serving the industry with pride, passion, and precision for over 40 years. We are a leading sub-contract machining service, offering a wide range of services to various industry sectors, including Autosport, Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Defence.
Our Services
We provide a comprehensive range of services, including:
- CNC Milling: We offer 3, 4, and 5-axis machining of prismatic and turned parts. Our core specialty is 5-axis machining of high-performance castings for the Motorsport sector in Aluminium & Magnesium.
- CNC Thread Rolling: Our new Thread Rolling facility can offer high-strength rolled threads in most metric sizes up from 0.7mm to 1.5mm pitch.
- Deep Hole Drilling & Honing: Our Deep Drilling facility offers a wide range of drilling solutions. From 4mm to 38.1mm and up to 600mm in depth, depending on diameter.
- Manual Machining & Jig Boring: We have the facility to machine parts, tooling, or fixtures on traditional manual Mills and lathes. For accurate boring, drilling, back-spotfacing, whether on finished parts or tooling, we have a Newall Jig Boring machine.
Quality
J&L Precision is proud to have a reputation of producing parts to high quality and with consistency. Our investment in quality has recently seen the purchase of a new Mitutoyo CMM. J&L is accredited with ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Engineering
With a wealth of experience from various sectors, our team can help and advise customers on Design, Production Engineering, and Manufacture on their products. We have programming capability online and offline using Mazatrol and CADCAM software such as Hypermill & GibbsCam.
Range of Machines
Our dedicated machinery includes:
- CNC Turning: Our CNC Turning section can machine parts ranging from small turned components of O6mm to larger complex parts of up to O300mm. Shaft work can be machined up to 1000mm.
- CNC Sliding Head Turning: We have 2 new Citizen A20 Sliding Head machines for the production of Rolled Thread Studs.
- CNC Milling and 5-Axis Machining: We have a range of CNC Milling and 5-Axis Machining machines from Mazak and Yamazaki.
- Deep Hole Drilling & Honing: Our Deep Drilling facility offers a wide range of drilling solutions.
- Manual Machining & Jig Boring: We have facilities for manual machining and jig boring.
Investment in Technology
We continue to invest in new technology and machinery to ensure our customers receive the highest level of quality and precision. Our recent investments include 2 new Citizen A20 Sliding Head Lathes and a CNC Thread Rolling machine.
