Our History
Our story began when Michael Harris and a work colleague converted a Methodist chapel into a bus garage in 1950. Michael's son Andrew joined the business straight from college in the 1980s and has since taken over the day-to-day running of the garage. Over the years, we have expanded our services to include car sales, MOT testing, and servicing. Today, our team of experienced mechanics and sales experts strive to provide exceptional customer service and unbeatable value for money.
Our Team
At Broad Town Cars, we are proud of our long-serving team of experts, many of whom have been with us for over two decades. Our dedicated team consists of:
- Andrew Harris, Sales Manager: Andrew has been with us since the 1980s and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the motor trade.
- Rupert Bastin, Workshop Manager: Rupert joined us in 2005 and has previously worked in a main dealer environment.
- Richard Meader, Forecourt Coordinator: Richard has been with us since 2006 and is responsible for the forecourt display and driving duties.
- Robert Sawyer, Technician: Robert joined us in 2010 and has previously worked at Vauxhall main dealers.
- Paul Martin, Car Valet: Paul is our newest member and is responsible for ensuring our cars are spotless.
- Hazel Harris, Office Manager: Hazel has been with us since the early days and is responsible for our administration and bookkeeping.
- Karen Harris, Office Manager: Karen joined us in the 2000s and is responsible for our sales and marketing efforts.
