Transforming Spaces, One Floor at a Time
At Urban Stage, we're passionate about providing students of all ages with a supportive and inspiring environment to explore the world of performing arts. Founded in 2003 by professional actors Simeon Truby and Helen Kay, our institution has been dedicated to helping individuals develop their skills, confidence, and creativity through a wide range of classes and productions.
Our Services
Our comprehensive programme of classes is designed to cater to students of various skill levels, from beginners to advanced performers. Our expert instructors, all highly experienced professional performers, provide tailored guidance and mentorship to ensure that each student receives the attention and support they need to thrive. Our classes combine acting, dancing, singing, improvisation, and drama games, with additional training in specialist areas such as mime, stage combat, character study, and vocal technique.
In addition to our regular classes, we also offer students the opportunity to participate in live theatre performances, which not only provide an exciting and entertaining experience for audiences but also serve as an invaluable learning experience for our students. These productions help to build confidence, foster creativity, and develop essential teamwork skills, all while providing a unique and enjoyable experience for all involved.
Our Mission
At Urban Stage, we're committed to providing a friendly, supportive, and professional environment where students can grow and develop as performers. We believe that the performing arts have the power to transform lives, building confidence, creativity, and self-expression in individuals of all ages and backgrounds. By providing access to high-quality training and performance opportunities, we aim to inspire and empower our students to reach their full potential and pursue their passions with confidence and enthusiasm.
