We also place great emphasis on raising awareness of radicalisation and extremist views, and we work closely with the government's Prevent Strategy to ensure our pupils are well-equipped to navigate these complex issues.

SEN and EAL Support

At Claregate Primary School, we believe that all pupils deserve equal access to education, regardless of their background or ability. We offer a range of support services for pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and for those who are learning English as an additional language (EAL). Our SEN and EAL support includes individualised learning plans, regular progress monitoring, and additional resources and equipment. We believe that our SEN and EAL support plays a crucial role in helping our pupils reach their full potential and achieve their goals.

Governance and Leadership

At Claregate Primary School, we believe that good governance and leadership are essential for a school's success. Our governors are a group of dedicated and experienced individuals who work closely with our headteacher and senior leadership team to make strategic decisions about the school. Our headteacher, Mr M J Murphy, is responsible for leading the school and implementing our vision and values. We also have a number of deputy headteachers and assistant headteachers who support our headteacher in their role. Our governors and senior leadership team work closely together to ensure that our school is well-led and well-governed.

School Life

At Claregate Primary School, we believe that school life is just as important as the curriculum and assessment. We believe that our pupils should feel happy, safe, and supported, and we do our best to create a welcoming and inclusive environment. Our school has a number of extracurricular activities, including sports teams, music groups, and club activities, which are designed to help our pupils develop new skills and make friends. We also have a number of events and performances throughout the year, including concerts, plays, and sports tournaments, which are designed to showcase our pupils' talents and achievements.
