Exceeding Expectations, One Guest at a Time

Located in the heart of the Kent countryside, The Farriers Arms is a traditional country pub that has been beautifully restored by a group of villagers and friends. Our aim is to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone, whether you're looking for a casual meal, a special occasion, or simply a peaceful spot to relax with a drink.

About Our Community

At the heart of The Farriers Arms is our community. With over 121 shareholders, each with their own unique skills and expertise, we've worked together to restore this beautiful pub to its former glory. Today, many of our shareholders continue to offer their time freely, volunteering their skills to help us support local initiatives and charities.

Our Restaurant

Our restaurant, The Anvil, is a stunning 400-year-old room that has been expertly restored to its former glory. Our Head Chef, Damian, and his team use only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients to create dishes that are both delicious and seasonal. From traditional Sunday roasts to more contemporary creations, our menu is designed to delight. We're proud to offer a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a meal here.

Our Microbrewery

The Old Forge microbrewery, established in 2010, is home to six regular hand-crafted ales, including the CAMRA-listed 'Farriers 1606'. Our brewers are passionate about creating unique and delicious beers that pour perfectly into your glass. Join us for a beer tasting or ask about our brewery tours to learn more about our brewing process.

Our Story

The story of The Farriers Arms is one of community and determination. In 2009, a group of villagers and friends came together to save this beautiful pub from closure. With hard work and dedication, we've restored the pub to its former glory, creating a vibrant hub of activity that is the epicentre of village life. Today, we're proud to be a part of the community, supporting local initiatives and charities, and offering a warm welcome to all who visit.
