At The Oak Wheel, we pride ourselves on providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. Our family-run pub, restaurant, and bed and breakfast is located in the charming village of Burniston, just 3 miles north of Scarborough and 15 miles south of Whitby.
Our Accommodation
We offer 6 tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms, including one family room and a ground-floor room, perfect for those with mobility issues. Each room is comfortably furnished with flat-screen TV, hairdryer, complimentary Harrogate bottled water, and tea/coffee making facilities. We also offer a family room and a ground-floor room.
Dining
Our restaurant serves traditional home-cooked meals, prepared by our chef, Shaun. Our menu changes daily, but we always have something to suit every taste. We also have a children's menu and a wide range of vegetarian and gluten-free options available.
Bar
Our bar offers a wide selection of cask ales, beers, lagers, wine, and spirits. We also have a daily happy hour from 4 pm to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. On weekends, we have live music to keep you entertained.
Events
The Oak Wheel is the perfect venue for birthday parties, christenings, weddings, funerals, and Christmas parties. We can bespoke the menu to your liking and offer a range of buffet options.
Local Attractions
We are located close to many local attractions, including the New Alpamare Water Park, Scarborough's Open Air Theatre, and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. We are also close to the coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough, as well as the North York Moors Railway.
