A home from home, where everyone is welcome

At The Pig & Whistle, we pride ourselves on being a warm and welcoming pub in the heart of our community. As a neighbourhood pub, we cater to everyone and everyone is welcome to enjoy what we have to offer. Our aim is to be a home from home, offering great local beers and fresh food with a South African twist.

The Bar

We take pride in our beer selection, with a fantastic range of local brews and classics. Our staff are always happy to recommend a beer to suit your taste. We also stock a range of South African sodas and have a great selection of wines and spirits. Whether you're in the mood for a classic G&T or looking to try something new, we have something for everyone.

The Kitchen

Our menu is designed to offer something for everyone, from traditional British dishes to South African national specialties. Our chefs work hard to ensure that every dish is freshly prepared using only the finest ingredients. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty Sunday roast, a tasty burger, or something more adventurous, we have a range of options to suit. We also cater for vegans and vegetarians, with a range of delicious options to try.

Dogs and Sports

We love dogs and welcome them in our pub and garden. We even have a special dog menu for your furry friends, with 10p from every item sold being donated to HART Animal Rescue. We're also proud to be home to the Wild Dogs Rugby Team and have Sky Sports showing our four indoor screens and three little screens in our heated huts. With our refurbished screens, cables, and speakers, we guarantee the best view in town.

Giving Back

At The Pig & Whistle, we believe in giving back to our community. We host a Piggie Race every year to raise funds for local charities. We also deck our pub out in Santa hats at Christmas, with all proceeds going to our chosen charity. Additionally, 10p from every item sold on our dog menu goes to HART Animal Rescue.

Staying Green

We're committed to staying green and reducing our environmental impact. We encourage customers to bring in any used cooking oil and we'll recycle it for you. We're also proud to be part of the Grumpy Pub Company, which includes The Beehive on St John's Hill.
